We love getting to know our new volunteers and learning about journeys they have been&nbsp;on. Plus, we get to learn about&nbsp;the hobbies they have (that&nbsp;often&nbsp;make us want to start&nbsp;something new&nbsp;ourselves). In March we added four more wonderful survivors to our community.&nbsp;We are pleased to introduce them here.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-large is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/cancerhopenetwork.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/cubes-3.png?resize=223%2C223&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"request a match\" class=\"wp-image-4199\" width=\"223\" height=\"223\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>One was diagnosed with cancer as a child then again as a teen. As an adult they held hands with their father, mother, and sister as&nbsp;each&nbsp;went through battles with cancer. For another the effects of radiation left them struggling until a phone call from a survivor brought&nbsp;the&nbsp;hope that inspired them to keep fighting.&nbsp;One&nbsp;found the mental aspects&nbsp;after treatments and surgery&nbsp;had a more distressing impact than the physical traumas. Another has a deep understanding of the influences of supporting fellow cancer survivors and became a certified cancer coach.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Together they are a group of movie loving, outdoor hiking, puppy adoring,&nbsp;Support&nbsp;Volunteers. They enjoy watching their children grow up and helping cancer patients make healthy nutrition choices. Each cancer journey is uniquely&nbsp;its own,&nbsp;but&nbsp;the threads that bind them are often strikingly&nbsp;similar.
