One is a foodie with a drool-inducing Instagram. Another spent quarantine at the lake \u201cstaying safe and keeping others safe.\u201d One enjoys online video games and another is a retired librarian. They walk and practice yoga. The youngest is 23 and the oldest 78. (Our overall population of volunteers range in age from 19-94.) They\u2019re caregivers and survivors. They\u2019ve faced chemo and surgery, ostomies and hormone therapy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Together, they\u2019re Cancer Hope Network\u2019s newest class of volunteers. We\u2019re pleased and grateful that their journeys have brought them to the CHN family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cA great volunteer\/client match is based on myriad factors. Many begin with a shared diagnosis or similar treatment, but sometimes, the magic happens thanks to shared experience,\u201d said Samantha Schrager, CHN\u2019s Director of Programs. \u201cWe are fortunate to have volunteers whose experiences, hobbies and interests are as varied as the cancers they\u2019ve faced.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
