It\u2019s pushing past the challenges of treatment and the pain of recurrence to find hope and healing.\u00a0 Like entrepreneurs, it\u2019s focusing on the small victories when big ones seem out of reach. It\u2019s discovering lives of service and purpose as part of their post-treatment new normal.<br \/>\n<img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"  wp-image-3302 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/cancerhopenetwork.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/ehope-yeah-but-1-1.png?resize=555%2C555&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"eHOPE yeah but (1) (1).png\" width=\"555\" height=\"555\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><br \/>\nToday, a look at some of the \u201cYeah, buts&#8230;\u201d that make hope happen every day.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Yeah<\/strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.cancerhopenetwork.org\/2016\/08\/26\/life-is-short-enjoy-it-every-day-from-depression-to-hope-to-help\/\">Joe <\/a>lost part of his tongue to cancer\u2026<br \/>\n<strong>\u2026but<\/strong> he\u2019s completed his degree in social work and is helping elderly clients.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Yeah<\/strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.cancerhopenetwork.org\/2018\/05\/25\/hopelight-spotlight-david-swan\/\">David <\/a>had \u201ca chunk pulled out of his head\u201d because of brain cancer\u2026<br \/>\n<strong>\u2026but<\/strong> he\u2019s planning to walk his daughter down the aisle this fall.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Yeah,<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.cancerhopenetwork.org\/2018\/01\/18\/when-lucky-isnt-easy\/\">Ellen <\/a>survived cervical cancer in 1996, and has faced bladder issues and multiple intestinal surgeries and is currently playing tennis with tubes running down the back of her legs\u2026<br \/>\n<strong>\u2026but<\/strong> she\u2019s finding laughter and joy in comforting others.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Yeah,<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.cancerhopenetwork.org\/2018\/09\/25\/friendship-doesnt-run-away\/\">Joe <\/a>lost a friend when he was diagnosed\u2026<br \/>\n<strong>\u2026but<\/strong> he\u2019s discovered deeper relationships with his adult daughters.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Yeah,<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.cancerhopenetwork.org\/2018\/03\/08\/embracing-our-scars\/\">Malissa <\/a>fought depression and literally died after her double mastectomy\u2026<br \/>\n<strong>\u2026but<\/strong>\u00a0she\u2019s embracing her scars and hosting her own radio show.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Yeah,<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.cancerhopenetwork.org\/2017\/09\/18\/a-love-and-class-pride-that-wont-quit\/\">Paul <\/a>fought Graft Vs Host disease after his bone marrow transplant\u2026<br \/>\n<strong>\u2026but<\/strong> he\u2019s now helping his fellow Princeton alums through cancer and other illness.<\/p>\n<p>Searching for the \u201cyeah, but\u2026\u201d in your own cancer journey?
