Tolkien\u2026 \u201cNot all who wander are lost.\u201d\u00a0 I cannot imagine anyone ever feeling lost or without hope around Elizabeth.\u00a0 And I cannot think of anyone I\u2019d rather have with me in spirit during a 5K for Cancer Hope Network \u2013 an organization whose mission is to provide hope and support for anyone who has been impacted by cancer.\u00a0<\/p><p>Last year\u2019s inaugural celebration brought together <strong>nearly 40 team members<\/strong>, and raised <strong>JUST OVER $2,500 for Cancer Hope Network.<\/strong>\u00a0 As you can see from the collage below, Elizabeth was able to bring folks together from all over the country, including California, Florida, Maryland, New York, New Jersey, and countless other places.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section data-particle_enable=\"false\" data-particle-mobile-disabled=\"false\" class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-ae4587f elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default announcing last year\u2019s inaugural celebration, having a virtual event was the safest and most feasible way for us to remember Elizabeth \u201ctogether\u201d \u2013 until we could truly be together.\u00a0 Whether in a park, on a beach, around the neighborhood, or elsewhere, it was clear that Elizabeth is remembered and loved by everyone, and will continue to be.\u00a0 Which is why it seemed almost unfair to limit a celebration to one location, when her love, creativity, and spirit lives on everywhere.\u00a0 Therefore, we decided to keep the annual Team Elizabeth 5k a virtual one so that anyone who wanted to participate could do so however and wherever they were able!<\/p><p>Now, that is not to say that those of you who love and remember Elizabeth in California can\u2019t make plans to meet up at a specific time\/place and come up with a fun, creative way to travel your journey together \u2013 same for the folks on the East Coast, etc.\u00a0 But the flexibility will remain and that choice will be yours!<\/p><p>So I invite all of you \u2013 those who knew her, loved her, met her all of once, or are simply inspired by her story \u2013 to join me in celebrating Elizabeth Ann Mitchell McCarthy in a 3.1 Mile \u201cWander\u201d from wherever you may be in this great big world.\u00a0 You can walk, run, skip, fly (if you can do that, I\u2019m impressed) \u2013 it doesn\u2019t matter.\u00a0 Wander however you wish to remember and honor Elizabeth and all those like her who effortlessly bring hope and joy to people \u2013 even those of us only lucky enough to
